The AV bbq

once again AV held a bbq, which was not as good as the last one but
still a good chance to catch up with some people and meet some new
faces.  I know that does make it sound like a church picnic, but this is
no account of the bbq and won't point you to an ftp site where you can
download some pretty photographs of us rather nerdy-types standing
around a bbq.  (Funny, i took those photos.)

Actually there's this guy called The Black Assasin who used to run a
board.  I'm going to truthfully and objectively tell you everything I
know up until I became involved, and then i'll elaborate a bit more
blindly :)  Anyway on with the story.  TBA (the black assasin, duh) had
been calling midian.  (Run by an AV member and good friend of everybody,
Wolverine.)  He had been writing 3-line oneliners basically paying out a
person called Delta.  Without casting too many conclusive aspersions,
Delta, without a doubt, deserved at least some of TBA's anger.  However,
TBA kept up the pay-outs until krl felt it necessary to either defend
Delta or criticse TBA which he did.. and whichever way the bong cracked,
TBA did not like this very much and took it upon himself to take an
instant disliking to krl and all that this ever-so charismatic artist
represents (av, fun, good karma in general).

Conveniently, around the same time, TBA's board went down due to a
scandal involving some unwanted kiddy porn uploaded, and a search
warrant.  Needless to say, TBA was framed by someone very lame but
unconnected with the whole affair in the midian oneliners.  However, krl
and av in general took great mirth and delight in making a subtle
mockery of the whole thing.  From my point of view, you have to admit
this was very funny.  Rute of evil (tba's board) went down due to kiddy
porn - ha!!  anyway.  Although i never logged on, it was very warezy and
very 13-year oldish, sort of widely publicizzed (if we hear of warez
boards they must be lame, since we dont trade warez).  It is apparently
back up, but that's more of a rumour than anything else.  the reason for
THIS file (are you bored yet?) is to reply to some people who threatend
to crash the bbq, among other things.

You see, soon after this little fracas developed into a niiightmare(tm,
krinkle) and after tba took a REAL dislinking to av, there was an infofile
posted around explaining tba's situation and the status of his board
(completely fucked), and also messages posted up saying "tba and a few
of his mates from frankston have it in for a few AV dudes".  knives and
other things were mentioned, but I think they were intended for the
prepetrator of the kiddy porn and rute of evil.  Anyway, these frankston
mates and TBA liked to create that hang-tough impression that they were
bigger and better and going to beat the stuffing out of us at the bbq,
which they never did (surprise surprise).

Anyway I don't quite know how so many seemingly unconnected events came
to cause me to write this file, but it IS sort of hidden (in a divider
for fucks sake!) so nobody twisted your arm to read it.  BUT, if anyone
out there DOES happen to have it in for av, we didnt see you at the bbq!
It was well publicised and you timid little year-9 pimpled geeks didnt
show up with your waterbombs and cap guns!  anyway, its very easy to
look tough in email or a text file, rather like the anarchy scene which
I think is becoming increasingly childish.  Suffice to say, I think you
wankers who supposedly "have it in" for us "av dudes" should either put
up or shut up.  there WILL be another bbq, and after all your crap we
expect to see you there to beat the crap out of us (see the sarcasm?)
